The Group Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and optimising the end‑to‑end supply chain operations across the organisation, ensuring high service levels, cost efficiency, and operational excellence. This role oversees procurement, planning, logistics, inventory management, supplier performance, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple sites/business units.

Responsibilities:                                                                              

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a group-wide supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead standardisation of supply chain processes, systems, and KPIs across all sites.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, S&OP, automation).

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Oversee strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and ethical standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance (OTIF, quality, cost, risk).

Planning & Inventory Control

  • Lead demand forecasting, capacity planning, and production planning processes.
  • Optimise inventory levels across the group to balance service vs. working capital.
  • Implement and manage S&OP / IBP processes.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including freight, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Ensure that delivery performance targets are met group-wide.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in transportation and warehousing.

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Set supply chain KPIs and report regularly to senior leadership.
  • Monitor cost performance, service levels, and process adherence.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives (ERP, WMS, planning tools).

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop supply chain teams across multiple locations.
  • Build a high-performance culture with clear accountability.
  • Promote collaboration between operations, finance, sales, and product

Experience:

  • Level 6 degree in Supply Chain Operations Management/Business/Engineering or related field.
  • 7 to 10 years of supply chain experience, including leadership of multi-site operations.

  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or similar environment.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

  • Deep understanding of supply chain processes (procurement, planning, logistics).

  • Advanced ERP and data analysis capability.
  • Level 7 degree in Supply Chain Operations Management/Business/Engineering or related field.

  • Professional certifications desirable (CIPS, APICS, Lean Six Sigma).
